Hi, I’m Jill — farmer, florist, delivery driver, and everything in between here at Thistledown Farm. What began as a childhood dream of wildflower paths and overflowing cottage gardens has grown into a flower farm rooted in joy, creativity, and connection.
I've never been content with the limited varieties I could find at the greenhouse, and I'm thrilled to offer many specialty types in curated color palettes. From starting seeds during snowy Minnesota winters to hand-delivering bouquets at the height of summer, I live and breathe homegrown flowers.
There’s truly nothing I love more than creating something beautiful that brings joy to others. Whether it’s a wrapped bouquet, a custom arrangement, or a bucket of blooms for your next event, I’m honored to share a piece of my dream with you.

Behind the Name
Why "Thistledown Farm"? When my husband and I bought our farm, it was covered in thistles—some taller than me. They’ve been a thorn in our sides (pun fully intended!), but over time, they’ve come to symbolize so much more: caring for the land, building up the soil, and making something beautiful out of nothing.
In the evenings, when the golden sun hangs low and bathes everything in warm light, even the downy fluff on the prickly thistle seems to glow. That’s when I’m reminded: everything has its place. Even the thorniest weeds have a kind of beauty— if we just take the time to notice the magic.
